LeSean McCoy progressing

01:19 PM ET 12.03 | Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has moved into Phase 3 of his recovery from the concussion he suffered against the Washington Redskins on Nov. 18. McCoy was in Phase 1 last week, so this is a step in the right direction, but Michael Vick has been stuck at Phase 4 for two weeks, so it is no indication that McCoy is close to returning. Bryce Brown has been filling in nicely in McCoy's absence and will continue to start at running back until McCoy is cleared to return.

Now sure what it is about Eagles concussions that the guys are out for weeks on end. Every other teams seems to get their players back on the field ASAP.

But it is nice to see that at least one team in the league cares more about player safety than winning.

Well that would fit nicely into my theory that the Eagles don't want to get hurt for Vick or Reid. They emotionally have given up. They will make token efforts in case they get cut, they want to get picked up by another team.
