01:37 PM ET 12.03 | Jeff Fisher's St. Louis Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, less than a month after playing to a draw by the Bay. The win gave St. Louis a 4-0-1 record in the NFC West, along with an outside shot at the playoffs. Fisher was not at all surprised by the outcome. The veteran head coach, in his year with the Rams, told Mike Silver that his team believes it can play with any team in the league.

Beat them while doing it? Not quite yet.

hahaha...sure...when his team is given points by refs ridiculous safety call and the Niners decision to toss a ball into the endzone on 3rd and 3.....the rams are weak

The Rams offense might be weak, but that defense is the "Real McCoy"!!!

I've been telling people this for a while now.... The Rams are a good, tough team.
Jeff Fisher has made a TON of difference, and in the next few years when you sprinkle in two extra first round draft picks, they'll be VERY good.

I believe you are onto something there. They can come up really small at times.

The Rams are headed in the right direction. Winning the division is all that matters and they're 4-0-1. We all know anything can happen in the playoffs (SEA 2011).
However, the Niners gave that one away Sunday. Kaep made some very poor decisions. Not everyone is happy with Harbaugh's decision to bench Alex Smith.

The biggest change seems to be the sudden downsizing of Kaepernick's bandwagon.

Maybe the Niners gave that one around this past Sunday, but the Rams should have won that tie game a few week ago between the two!!!

I like the kid, he looks like he will be a good QB someday, but he isn't a starter yet. Last week in NO Kaepernick led the offense to 17 points (SF won due to 2 touchdowns from the D). This week in AZ he led the offense to 13 points. That's not good enough performance.
Alex Smith remains the better QB at this time, and should be playing if he is healthy.

the coach has a short memory.
"Can play with anyone...", what was the score of that game with the Patriots in London again?

I guess that comes with the caveat that they actually have to show up for the game.
