Will the Thunder go all-in for Anderson Varejao?

04:06 PM ET 12.03 | Anderson Varejao has been playing the best basketball of his career this season. At age 30, he's averaging career-highs in points (15.1) and rebounds per game (15.3). The Cleveland Cavaliers are not winning games though. They are just 4-12 on the season so far and their best player, Kyrie Irving, has missed the last six games with an injury. The Cavaliers are in a situation where they have to make a decision on what to do with Varejao, whose trade value is soaring through the roof right now. Varejao has three years left on his contract and any team would love to have him so it would be hard for the Cavaliers to let him go. But with playoff berths seemingly a long way away, capitalizing on trading Varejao now might be a good idea. One team that could use Varejao and offer Cleveland a good deal in exchange for him is the Oklahoma City Thunder.

MMA- the basis of any trade would look like thisPerkins contract+Lamb+Tor. 1st Rounder + other consideration such as the Dallas 1st rounder for Varejao, (taking back Perkins bad contract) and perhaps another role player

+1, On the behalf of all Cavs fans including LTCF.. (except Sugar), we would accept the trade.. but take Perk, and Martin, and OKC can have Andy and Caspi. I would have preferred Harden and Perk though... oh well

OKC would be dumb to trade everyone mentioned for Varejao. Let's say they trade Perkins, Lamb, Jones III plus picks for him and then Kevin Martin leaves. In effect they would have traded Harden and Perkins for Varejao. Does that make any sense?

they dont want Perkins- OKC would insist he be included to match salaries and to get rid of him

they dont want Perkins- everyone thati s reading this dealneither team wants perkins- he is a liability-the Cavs would want Lamb, the Toronto pick ,and other possible consideration such as the Dallas pick, or PJ3---- Lamb and the Toronto pick is the bare bones least you could expect in a deal

didnt Lamb just get sent down to the D league

draft picks aint worth much if they are not a top 5 or 6 player... OKC would be selecting at least +25

Hmmm. Should they? Probably. Both teams could benefit.

I dont know---- I dont think so- i thought he got in the other night , although with how loaded the roster is it would not surprise me-I loved Lamb pre-draft- it would not have surprised me if he went top 8--- he slid to 14 I think....he has size, shooting ability, and defensive potential- he needs to fill out though---- he would be a PERFECT 3rd guard with Waiters and Kyrie....you dont have to touch the backcourt except adding a vet for stability for the next 5 yearsthen you get the Toronto pick, which will be at the best- a top 8 pick- at the worst- the 16th pick- some where in there- most likely a lotto pick thoughis that enough for Varejao? the Toronto pick, and Jeremy Lamb? that is the question- I dont know the answer- its something you need to consider though

Cavs should do better than draft picks for Andy... he is a proven talent.. will Lamb ever be as good as Andy?
