I still think the Niners will win the NFC West, regardless of who is playing QB!!!

As a 49er fan, if the 49ers do not win the Super Bowl it will not be because Kaepernick or Smith. It will be because of the sickly conservative play calling of Greg Roman. Despite the fact that the 49ers could throw the ball and complete it almost at will against the Rams, Roman continued to use his highly unimaginative play calling of RUN, RUN, PASS - Despite this, Kaepernick was able to have 42% 3rd down conversion rate. Probably any chimpanzee used as a defense coordinator could've figure out Romans simplistic conservative play calling and devised a defensive scheme to counteract his play calling. Roman is still relying on the playbook he used for Alex Smith who had a difficult time throwing down field with accuracy, he needs to change it to be more dynamic if they are going to use Kaepernick. The 49ers, now that Kendall Hunter is out for the season need to integrate Jewell Hampton and LaMichael James into the running game plan, they have speed to get outside, something Brandon Jacobs lacks, If James does not get playing time then I have to assume that Baalke, Roman, and Harbaugh were lying to the fans when they gushed with enthusiasm about the prospect of having James on the team.
