05:26 AM ET 12.04 | That on-field incident between Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett and safety Kerry Rhodes was, in reality, an on-face incident. As in a spit-on-face incident. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Dockett spat in Rhodes face. The source says that Dockett will indeed be disciplined by the team, and that the team has been hoping to keep the situation under wraps, given that the team currently is in a bit of a free fall, with eight straight losses after a 4-0 start.

Should be suspended at least 1 game. Spitting in someone's face is a disgusting and cowardly act.

Now, if this had been baseball, and he had a big chaw in his mouth, it would have been quite a scene.

Half the guys in the league wear visors, too. I wonder if those come with little windshield wipers?

In the picture, Dockett looks like he's ready to hauk up a loogie then and there.

Me either, He's losing control of the team. There is no fire in this coach, he's ruining a QBs confidence by playing him before he's ready. Back to asst. coach somewhere.

NFL.com reported, Rhodes and Dockett reportedly argued about letting the Jets score late in the fourth quarter. Rhodes pushed to allow the Jets in the end zone, giving the Cardinals' offense a final chance facing an eight-point deficit. Dockett disagreed. Rhodes says DD didn't spit.

I'm DD and I didn't spit.

Monica Lewinsky did, though.
