2004 Lakers all over again. to much drama for this team

Nash knows ho much more expensive real estate is in LA versus Phoenix. What may cost one million in Phoenix will be about 7 million in LA and if he has to maintain that until the children are 18, we could be talking about some serious money. Nash is not stupid.

That could be it. Maybe Nash doesn't want his ex that close. Like or not the guy must be having fun with all the chicks in LA and want to keep that space.

That team made to the finals. So, that's good in my book.

The 2004 team was twice as talented as this one and couldn't win it all. This team won't make it to the finals with the way they are going. To much distraction.

it was a talented team but Payton and Malone were way past their prime. Also they had Phil.

The Lakers normally pride themselves on winning Finals, not just being in them.

no doubt, my point is that team overachieved due all the issues they had back then. Right now it has been rough but like you said still early. We'll see.

QUOTE(#14):

Nash and Bryant are past their primes on this team. Phil is past his prime as well if he were coaching. But, the 2004 team had a prime Kobe and Shaq was still a monster.

Howard is already thinking about his future. All in all bad chemistry.

QUOTE(#15):

I don't think the team overachieved, considering many thought they should win. In fact, I thought they'd have a shot at 70 wins when they signed Malone and Payton.

i disagreed, with all the Kobe Colorado drama and Shaq/Kobe feud and at the end the Malone injury, I think they actually did great making all the way. Sure they should have won it all due their individual talent but that Detroit D was incredible and they were much hungrier in the hunt for their first ring.

They weren't way past there primes to beat a better Spurs team in the Conf finals. Especially having both Shaq and Kobe still in there prime. The problem was, they wasn't focus on winning all season and it cost them.

actually my point,, no one seems to be focus on winning every game. They are playing without and passion against some strong teams out there.
