07:17 AM ET 12.04 | Multiple recruiting sites, Hookem.com being the first, are reporting Texas co-offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin was in Arizona Monday to visit with Arizona Western Community College quarterback Tanner McEvoy. McEvoy was a one-time player at South Carolina but was suspended from the football team after being arrested this summer for underage drinking (McEvoy was stopped for speeding in North Carolina, then additionally charged with underage drinking after the police officer smelled alcohol on his breath. A Breathalyzer test did not register high enough to administer a DUI charge). McEvoy subsequently transferred to Arizona Western. In statistics available for seven games this season, McEvoy threw for 1,568 yards on 67 percent passing with 21 touchdowns and three interceptions.

....instead .....texas needs to visit jimmy johnson and talk him into doing what he did for the dallas cowboys down in austin.....fire tom landry ( brown), burn the place down, and start over...with the fat wallet and the nations best pool of talent (by far) , texas should be undeated every year....

Wait, I thought TX had a slew of 5 star QBs on campus already???
Are they not getting the second coming of VY next year?

Yeah come to Texas, kid, where you can run some Boise State trickery on 3rd and 2 and lose 3 yards while the running backs look on in disbelief.

Tx should drop about $10 mill and hire Saban away from Gump

Texas should out source the recruiting.

And I would think they could get a lot of help with that too, just across the border, you know, the north by north east border, I am sure they would gladly help out their neighbors.

I think they have tired of the Case experiment.
If they grab another QB, with incoming Swoopes that would be 6 on scholly. At least one is transferring. They need to look for experienced LB's instead of QB's.

I think they are going on the odds of probability that if they have 15 scholly QB's at least one of them can beat TCU?

I'm not worried about the QB position. They missed on the consensus no recruit in GG. That was a complete bust. But, a healthy Ash is capable of commanding the offense, with Overstreet a very good redshirt to see if Swoopes is truly the next coming of VY in 2 years.
On the coaching front, rumors were swirling in ATX last night that Peterson takes the Arky job, and lures Harsin away.

Problem is Harsin not wanting to burn either redshirt of Overstreet or Brewer. I'm guessing one will want to transfer

Bro, you are absolutely correct!!!!!! Texas does have unlimited access to talent, the problem is that the Longhorns have a hard time keeping some of the better QB talent in state!!!!
