02:11 PM ET 12.04 | The Baltimore Ravens might be close to getting All-Pro linebacker Ray Lewis back from injury. Ed Werder of ESPN reports that the Ravens are planning for Lewis to practice for the first time since surgery to repair a torn triceps on Wednesday. Lewis had the surgery seven weeks ago, and many outlets reported the injury as "season-ending" at the time. According to the report, Lewis could return to the lineup in Week 15 when the Ravens play the Denver Broncos, barring any kind of setback. As noted, that game has significance due to the likely event that Baltimore and Denver are competing for home-field advantage in the playoffs, as they are both division leaders.

Hey Peyton, do a guy a solid would ya? It doesn't look like your brother's gonna be any help, but a Ravens' loss (or three) could really help Pittsburgh out.

Jeez, didn't know there were so many haters out there. Shuuush! Talk FB. Fact is that the Ravens could use Ray's experience, but he dosen't drop into coverage very effectively any more. They really need Ellerbe to get healthy and use Ray on running downs only. Harbaughs problem will be convincing the future 1st ballot hall of fame linebacker (yes, this is a shot at the haters..wink wink) to come out of the game in those situations.

Ray Lewis... in the HOF? Maybe they can rotate his with OJ's bust, and they can have little schoolchildren come in and learn that when you commit a murder and hide evidence (just where is that white suit, Ray?) it is better to do it as an active player, rather than a retired one. Oh, you'll still get off if you do the crime once your career is over, it's just that it shuts the door to being in Canton (murders who do the crime while active get a free pass).
