05:02 PM ET 12.04 | The St. Louis Rams have managed to go 4-0-1 within their division. Including beating and tying the San Francisco 49ers, who played in last season's NFC Championship game. Despite a dominate record against their divisional foes this season the St. Louis Rams have only won one game outside of their division. Rams running back Steven Jackson went on ESPN Radio in St. Louis and talked about the victory and the statement the Rams are making this season. "It really [helps] us in our division and our conference as well. Teams are going to respect the St. Louis Rams now when they see us on the schedule," Jackson said. "They know we're a tough-nosed team that's never going to back down, regardless of the situation, regardless of what the past may have been. This team has taken on a new identity." Despite only winning 1 game outside of their division, the Rams are pleased with their performance within the division.

The Rams get a couple of gifts and they think they're invincible.

LMFAO, please enlighten us and tell us what "gifts you are talking abut???? Have you watch all of the Rams game this year, or are you just "Jacking your Jaws"????

No one expected the Rams to be 5-6-1 at this stage of the season. If I remember correctly, quite a bit of fans were saying the Rams would be lucky to win 2/3 games this year. Are they back to being a top notch team, no, but at least they are playing competitive football!!!

It's good to see him play a bigger role in recent weeks.

"Teams are going to respect the St. Louis Rams now when they see us on the schedule". This comment was brought to you by a player entering his last month in a Rams uniform.

And with a 4-0-1 record in division and a 1-6 record against everyone else, I think it's safe to say that the respect outside of the NFC West is likely to be lacking for just a little while longer.
