05:56 PM ET 12.04 | The Bulls are nearing the return of Derrick Rose, but celebration of the event may already entering the realm of premature. Rose has had no setbacks or signs of concern in his rehabbing process, he is very positive as always we know this guy could he stranded on a desert island and he would find every positive detail in his surroundings that would make you want to be stranded as well. However Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf has said he will not allow Rose to play until his doctors say he is well over a 100% ready and healthy to go and this may still not be until March at the earliest. Rose likely won't be back until the last half of the season, and the likelihood of him being rushed is slim to absolute none. But just seeing Rose run again, and perform basketball tasks is very exciting and are giving Bulls fans something rare to believe in and look forward to.

Why sit the season out?

If he's ready in March, he should play in March.

If he's ready in April, he should play in April.

When a ligament is healed......it's healed.

Sitting out additional weeks or months after he's healed is NOT gonna make him more ready down the line. It's NOT gonna make him 'more ready' down the line.

Once the healing process is done, there's nothing more to be gained.
