Not everyone sad to see Bielema go

08:15 AM ET 12.05 | Bret Bielema shocked a good many with his jump to Arkansas, though some in Madison will welcome the change. I lack an insider's perspective into the offices at 1440 Monroe St., but as a 30-year season ticket holder, I probably have company in the view that Bielema should be thanked for his performance, yet consider news of his exit to be welcome. ... Barry Alvarez not only resurrected an awful program two decades ago, but he routinely seemed to make excellent adjustments during games and excelled, when given time to prepare, at winning the biggest games, as he did in three Rose Bowls. Not so Bielema. His in-game decisions often seemed to perplex many fans I know. It is not just the fact that he lost the last two Rose Bowl games, but that he seemed to be outcoached each time.

So Badger fans are telling Bielema not to let the door hit him in the arse on the way out? and good riddance, basically?

Well, Arky fans, we'll see what happens.

GR, tell me what is going on. Why would Arkie want this style coach when they just loved the other style so much, why, will it work, it will take 4 years to just get the right players all lined out in this system, then another 2 to be on the plus side of winning. Why?

They would have been better off to offer to buy out shed man at WA St, more their style of guy, in more than one way too.

You have addressed your post to the wrong guy, Colonel. WPS, Hoggie and others will have to give their input to answer your question.

Just saw where Jerry Jones likes the move. Now I know it's bad.

Maybe they want to start keeping good RBs like Michael Dyer (yes, I know his issues, but he was a good RB that was highly recruited) and current recruits like an Altee Penny (verbally committed to Alabama).

Those RBs are going out of state. And Petrino might have been a decent coach, but they weren't getting great recruits.

Just speculation on my part, though.

HAH... he won 3 straight titles and they are happy to see him go... talk about sour CHEESE!!!

To the writer of this article; if you have had season tickets for 30 years and lack for information, you are a slouch!!

Bielema would rather face sMiles and Satan in the sec, than have to face Urban again in the B1G!

GO BUCKS!!!

Because he doesn't know what it is like to face Saban and Miles. He should have asked Urban Meyer what it was like and then asked why Urban ran like a scalded chicken from his great job at Florida.

If he can get Penny from Bama and now Aubie(since they got Malzahn)... I might change my opinion of him...You can find good backs anywhere though.. TX and La as well... Heck, Nutt has DMac, Hillis and Jones.. at the same time..

Nutt was kind of a running offense person too. That's why he got into it over Mustain and Malzahn. He had two 1st round RBs in his backfield and those morons wanted him to pass more. Obviously, he's not there anymore, but he would have been fired that year, if he hadn't used those RBs in a big running game attack.

BB is a decent coach but underachieved with the talent he had. With Russell Wilson at QB last year they could have been in the mix for for national champion. As it was, lost the Rose Bowl. Barry would have taken them all the way.
