06:26 PM ET 12.05 | With the outfield market getting slimmer and slimmer by the day, the Phillies have few options left to fill holes in center and right field. Two players who played with the Yankees last season may be on the Phillies radar. Nick Swisher has been a name that has been loosely linked to the Phillies, but now looks like it may be more likely than originally thought. Jim Bowden of ESPN.com tweeted that Swisher's most likely destinations are Philadelphia, Seattle and Cleveland. Swisher could add an immediate source of power to the Phillies lineup and could fit either behind Howard or possibly even bat second. Swisher hit. 272 with 24 home runs and 93 RBIs last season. Another rumor began today involving the Phillies and a free agent outfielder, this one was more of a surprise. Is Raul Ibanez heading back to the Phillies and his he bringing Nick Swisher with him?

I was wondering if it's possible for the Red Sox to add a player that's coming off a good season as opposed to a down one.

Yeah, the Phillies don't suck enough, they should get some Nick Swisher to round out the roster.

All players are a matter of price and term of commitment - unless the out right stink (which neither of these guys do). Swisher at 2 or 3 years at $10 million per is reasonable. At worth money it is beyond awful. Raul at $5 million for one season also works

That was supposed to be "werth" money

Swisher would be a good pickup. Ibanez? Beware.

the SILLIES are in bad shape--- they need more than a center fielder--- they need a first baseman that has a brain, and a coach who can speak clearly and intelligently...

Swisser, can play right field, he has a good arm, and can fill in at 1st Base and he's not an old man yet, judging by what the Saux of Boston have been paying out he might be asking for 40-50 over 3 Years 60 Over 4-5?
