Sanchez playing for Jets coaches

07:54 AM ET 12.06 | Rex Ryan handed Mark Sanchez a bench seat Sunday, something from which the quarterback has been given the chance to bounce back this coming weekend. "It was probably the worst and best experience of my life," Sanchez said. "It was definitely the worst but it could turn around and be one of the best." ... Sanchez knows it's now time to go out and prove Rex Ryan right after the coach made his decision Tuesday night. He felt like he'd let down both Ryan and offensive coordinator Tony Sparano with a string of bad games this season. "You never wanted it to come to this point, but we're here," Sanchez said. "...I'm disappointing in myself. I don't want to let the head coach down, I don't want to let coach Sparano down. He's here at 4:30 every morning doing all the stuff he does."

Even IF he played well, he would still be a dead man walking...
Any QB that can finally perform well, due to this amount of pressure, still isn't a keeper.

He shouldn't need all this drama to do his job. Sanchez seems to be missing a football gene.

Awwww.....
Nice sentiments, but he doesn't have the on-field skills to star in this courageous come-back movie script. I see him following in the illustrious footsteps of Brady Quinn, bouncing around as a clipboard holder and slowly fading from memory.

Poor Sparano, there at 4:30 every morning devising game plans that Sanchez can't execute. The coaching leaves something to be desired as well.

Don't let your guard's ass hit you in the face on your way out the door, Mark.

Of course, it's hard to build a game plan around a QB that can't execute a handoff without humiliating himself on national tv, too.

The interns should have quit while they were ahead yesterday, after posting the article about the coaches saying Tebow is number two. The response was overwhelming agreement.

Bro, I remember Joe Montana's first couple of years with the Niners, the fans where not all that nice to him.

It's easy to blame Sanchez, but he's been suffering under the incompetence of really bad coaching and a GM who has let the team fall apart. Even Brady, Rodgers, a Manning or Roethlisberger wouldn't be able to hold up forever in that environment.

Yup, I remember that. Elway was a funny-lookin' dude anyway. You don't too many pigeon-toed QBs in the Hall of Fame.
