08:11 AM ET 12.06 | Now that Charlie Strong has spurned Tennessee, it's back to the drawing board for athletic director Dave Hart. Hart's next move is unclear. With Wednesday's news, UT appears to have missed on its top targets -- Strong and Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy. ... Multiple reports earlier in the day said that Gundy had decided to stay at his alma mater, although neither Gundy nor the school has made any public comment to that effect. ... Hart was scheduled to meet with North Carolina coach Larry Fedora this week in New York, where both men were attending the National Football Foundation awards ceremony, according to reports from Volquest and others. It could not be confirmed that the meeting actually took place.

Wow, Kentucky may end up with a better coach than they do, figure that one out.

Don't get me wrong, Fedora is a heck of a coach and runs a great offense but why can someone with the history of the Vols have to go down their list and get 10 negatives....

I think the problem is maybe they are looking at the wrong list?

Serious question, does UTk even have the money to afford a top tier coach?

All the money in the world piratey. Didn't you hear they're paying gruden 10M p/yr?

I agree. Lowered expectations are in order.
