08:16 AM ET 12.06 | By most accounts, lockout negotiations took a turn into a very delicate area on Wednesday as the season hung in the balance. The NHLPA will meet internally Thursday morning, with both sides slated to resume talks at some point afterward. Earlier Wednesday, the sides exchanged "proposals," multiple sources confirmed to ESPNNewYork.com. ... Contract term limits were part of each side's respective proposal during the afternoon, a source told ESPNNewYork.com. A source told ESPN.com that the NHL offered to raise the amount of the "Make Whole" provision, one of the key bargaining points in negotiations, to $300 million in total, up from $211 million in its last offer.

I agree. Not really enough to buy a happy meal is it? But, it's about 2.73% of the total 3.3 billion in revenue which continues to be reported. Beer money at the ACC.

"They are so full of it, that if you gave Bettman and and Fehr an enema, you could bury both of them in a matchbox"

But it is a more significant percentage of the team's reported income

I believe Forbes reported the aggregate Operating Income of all the NHL teams is around $250M -- Ergo a $90M concession is a 36% concession (compared to 2012). Granted, it is a smaller concession weighed against the 2013 proposal by the owners

$90 million is chump change when you boast about the billions in revenue you have brought in

You are right. My comment was concerning REVENUE. Many players and a few folks in the general public apparently consider revenue as operating income..............or even after tax profit.
