08:15 AM ET 12.07 | Even within his own locker room, Ndamukong Suh has his detractors. As he grumbled his way through a conversation Sunday night, a Detroit Lions player was asked to consider what has happened this season. "Yeah, we're loaded," the player said, exhaling after Detroit (4-8) lost its fourth consecutive game and third by four points or less. "But we have a couple of guys who don't understand what it takes to win. Just making a couple of plays and thinking that makes you great ... sometimes you want to just shake some of these guys and say, 'Don't you get it?'" Anybody in particular? "Ndamukong would be first." ... If there is one player who symbolizes the underachieving ways of the Lions, it is Suh.

maybe a players only meeting would be beneficial?????

And now the deckhands are getting restless and frustraited calling each other out .......the implosion is not far off.

If it weren't for football, Ndonkeykong would be in either a cell or a tomb. He's a thug who doesn't appear particularly bright. This is one guy who needs a "life coach," as stupid as that concept usually seems.

Well, if there is one player on the Lions who symbolizes thuggery, it's Suh. He and Ray Lewis probably have weekly meetings to compare notes.

He did have a "life coach" once ... he killed him.

Anonymous media criticisms of team mates, eerily similar to a certain New York team....

it all starts with the head coach who obviously has/shows no discipline toward his ''star'' pupil = SU[K] !,......where are all the ''NO'' men in their coaching-staff/players-reps/captains....?!

Compare this thread with the one on Russell Wilson, and you'll see why fans both love and be frustrated with the players they root for.

Is Russell Wilson a thug and murderer-in-training like Suh? Is Wilson also taking classes from Ray "MVP=Most Valuable Prisoner" Lewis?

Maybe a good old fashion blanket party would help more than some fruity life coach.

December 7, 2012  09:18 AM ET

It really is a character issue more than anything. WR Titus Young is the perfect example, maybe more so than Suh.

What happens when you get someone like Suh who has no character to speak of?

It's called the Top Down Punk Approach.

Even a trained attack dog can be kept on a leash and taken in public. Neuter Suh and put a shock collar on him.

Or just turn him over to Michael Vick.

That could work too!

Watch it be the kicker. Man up and tell him face to face not some reporter.

He is just too easy of a target. A butthead for sure, but every team has one or more. The difference between him and a second round pick like Young is that Young goes around complaining about his role, the coaches and all of the rest of it to the point you have to get him away from the other players.

Methinks there is no fix to it under their present HC. And the change necessary can get ugly. Remember what Coughlin went through to clean out that locker room that he inherited after Fassell let the inmates run the asylum for years?

December 7, 2012  09:41 AM ET

Some people just don't "get it." Others simply are incapable of doing so.

No, they are the opposites. Wilson is the example of why fans love the sport and the players who play it. Suh is the reason fans get angry at it. I don't think you understood what I was trying to say.
