08:15 AM ET 12.07 | Ray Rice may measure only a listed 5-foot-8, but his impact on games is far from a small one. In fact, Redskins' defensive coordinator Jim Haslett said Thursday that he considers containing Rice to be his unit's biggest challenge Sunday. "First of all, he's a great football player, not just in the run game but the pass game, too," Haslett said of the Ravens' top running back. ... [Rice], is tied for fourth in the NFL in rushing touchdowns with eight and is 12th in yards with 872. The 25-year-old is also the third ranked back in receiving yards with 409, which includes five catches of over 20 yards. The Redskins' defense, meantime, ranks fourth-best against the run, holding opponents to 91.5 yards per game. "That's our No. 1 goal," Haslett said.

Stop Rice you stop the Ratbirds.......on the other side I would think they have to be just as worried about RGIII MAKING PLAYS.

"Take away their #1 weapon." -- Bill Belichick
This philosophy has produced a consistent winner despite having a defense that gives up more yards than all but a handful of teams.

Even Bill Belichick listens to Debbie's advice. The Redskins should do the same.

Stop Rice and put some early hits on Flacco, the over grown crows are done. And bench RGIII and put in the third string QB...

Flacco has been playing sub-par a lot this season. Rice can't carry the team by himself.

The Ravens do still play smash-mouth football, though. RG-III needs to make sure it's not his mouth that gets smashed.

Lewis is out, Suggs is doubly hurt if he plays, Reed is on Goodell's suspension list if he tees off on someone, Double team Ngata, watch for Kruger, and the Redskins offense should outscore the Gutter Chickens, I hope.... HAIL To the Redskins!

Ha! This is great. You're rooting for the Redskins to help your Steelers; I'm rooting for the Ravens to help my Giants. But I have to admit, I think you have a better chance.

Hail!
I'm cheering for an exciting football player. Cheer while you can, though, if he takes too many more hits.

Is it the fried RICE or the white RICE that has the Redskins worried?

This is the type of game the Redskins have gagged their way through for the last 20 years with a few exceptions.
We'll see this week if the culture really has changed in Dannyland......

Well, Vegas has the Skins at two and a half point favorites. So there's that.

Against the Steelers, everything that could go wrong at the end there did. And a lot of those factors were outside of Harbaugh's purview. He couldn't yell at the guy who got hurt, and he couldn't do anything to the refs.
But I bet he chewed out Kruger pretty good for the 15-yarder, and probably wanted to fire the guy in the replay booth who told him to toss that red flag. I wouldn't be surprised if Kruger's on a much shorter leash.

All Flacco has to do what he does best - throw the ball to the 'unknown receiver' a few feet in front of the fellow he's supposed to be aiming for. Redskins 31, Ravens 10. I hope.. I hope.. I hope...
