08:27 AM ET 12.07 | And yet the biggie may await him. Whether or not Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o makes history Saturday night at the Heisman Trophy award presentation, he'll go down as the most decorated college football player to date. Thursday night in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., the Laie, Hawaii, product picked up his fourth, fifth and record sixth national awards at the Home Depot College Football Awards Show. Michigan cornerback Charles Woodson, the 1997 Heisman Trophy winner, held the previous record of five. Te'o's total could jump to as many as eight by Sunday night. Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is expected to win the Heisman, college football's most-coveted individual award.

Johnny Football better report to his probation officer before attending the Heisman show in NY, he wouldn't want to violate his probation.

Think it will definitely be a smash mouth game. Was trying to come up with a similar opponent for each. Can't come up with opponent(s) that Bama played similar to ND. Only teams Bama played that were good IMHO were LSU and aTm...and ND doesn't resemble either of those IMHO.
Decided that Bama might be a cross between Stanford and Zero U from the domer schedule. Smash mouth mentality of Stanford but more similar in speed to Zero U.
Anyone else got an analysis?

We shall see Van, we shall see.
We'll see what he can do against Bama and what Johnny can do against the land thieves.

Could very well be that way...or a higher score. Me thinks the only real explosive offense aggie faced was La Tech. You guys saw Okie Lite, WVa, Baylor, & Tech's offenses...but those guys couldn't stop anyone....cept Baylor did have the anomaly with K-State.
But, Johnny Football is more like Collin Klein than the other QBs form the teams listed. That didn't turn out too well. (Baylor QB can run it a little too.)

Skill positions are even. "The ball game is won and lost at the line of scrimmage." The SEC has had dominant defensive linemen and line backes compared to the offensive lines they have faced in the BCS Championship games. I see BAMA's d-line wearing away the Notre Dame line. The best chance for Notre Dame is to create turnovers.

Have you not taken your meds today or something. While I think ND is a good team comparing their QB to JM is a freaking joke. WOW your homerizm is really clouding your judgement.
(By the way I got tickets. See you in Miami)

These awards are as much for his leadership and example as for his playing skills.
He is an unusual young man, the kind you'd be proud to have your daughter bring home to introduce to the family.
He will hopefully have a successful NFL career and, more importantly, a successful life after CFB.
