09:18 AM ET 12.08 | The Boston Red Sox made a two-year, $25 million offer to free agent right-hander Ryan Dempster but were turned down by the pitcher and his agent, Craig Landis, according to a source. Dempster is believed to be seeking a three-year deal and reportedly is being wooed by the Chicago Cubs and the Milwaukee Brewers. A source also said Dempster turned down a two-year, $26 million offer from the Kansas City Royals.

I don't care where this dude goes as long as he doesn't go back to Arlington.

He better hope teams weren't paying attention to his second half of last season.

The Royals and Sox need to thank the man upstairs that he turned them down. Both teams have short memories because he can bombed in Arlington and it looks like he is just a NL pitcher.

He is not a big game pitcher, as he proved in every big game for Texas. He does great against also-rans though

They weren't. He will have plenty of foolhardy suitors, with three year contracts to boot

Poor in big games, great against also-rans. We have a term for that in St. Louis. It's called "Being Kyle Lohse".

As a Red Sox fan I can finally breath a sigh of relief.

December 8, 2012  10:26 PM ET

I would like to see Boston sign Anibal Sanchez and Edwin Jackson. Or, at least one.
