Should I stay or should I go?

He's probably gonna be thrown under the bus at UTx...but, me thinks he's gonna take a pay cut going from UTx DC to FIU HC.

HiYa, DC. However, Diaz becoming HC at FIU would be in keeping with your OC/DC career ladder theory. Besides, Manny Diaz might be a perfect fit at at a Florida school.

Mornin' Harley.

With Patterson, Petersen and Bielema, I was thinking more of the OC/DC elevation within the same program like TCU, BSU and Wisky did with them. Doesn't always work out but many times the best "fit" may be right under your nose...and less of an expensive gamble.

And UTx had so many LB injuries, I'm not sure anyone would have done much better this year. But, that UTx secondary tackling wasn't due to injuries.

I agree, but even if Diaz takes a pay cut by taking the FIU HC job, he would be better off, as I'm not too sure how much longer Brown will be with the Horns and Diaz might not be offered the Texas HC job.

Be careful of the Garcia dude. From what it appears, he is a grade-A dum'bazz. First hiring Isiah Thomas to coach bball (and promptly cratering the team), and then firing Cristobal for one bad season that was hampered by injuries. Better watch your back if you accept the job, Manny.

Its a good career move. Take the job Manny.

+1. It's a real job. He needs to bury the whole UT defensive coordinator deep.

If you like watching your team run D line stunts and twists on running plays ... and blitzing to the side away from the run ... yeah Diaz is your man.
