Jessica: Tony didn't dump me

Jessica Simpson is fighting mad about an OK! magazine article about her relationship with Tony Romo -- and she's called in the dogs -- aka, her lawyers. The article claims Tony dumped Jessica after his team was eliminated from the NFL playoffs. Simpson's attorneys say the article is "utterly false" and "is based on nothing more than rumor, gossip and innuendo." The article also claims Jessica's sister Ashlee has attempted to "distance herself" from her sis. The lawyers say that's B.S. too. Simpson's lawyers have sent a letter to OK!'s Editor-in-Chief, Sarah Ivens, claiming OK!'s article is bogus, adding that Jess and Tony are still together and that Ashlee and Jessica remain close. The attorneys say the article reflects a "smear campaign" and has subjected Simpson to "public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace." The lawyers want OK! to "immediately publish a prominent and unambiguous" retraction.

Your right Canadian, if this is as close to football news we can get the season must already be over.

January 25, 2008  09:03 AM ET

wow she has nothing better to do than have her lawyers pursue this? Imagine if Jennifer Anniston did this everytime her face was on the cover of a bogus magazine. Her lawyers fees would be about 100 million a year. Give me a break Jessica

January 25, 2008  09:05 AM ET

January 25, 2008  09:21 AM ET

I freakin' knew T&R couldn't live without our beloved Cowboys.

Come on Ferrell, you know we have fun with these threads.

January 25, 2008  09:23 AM ET

They put these on here to guarnatee everyone will post over and over mostly saying things like, "and this is news why?" or "how is this football?" Next thing you know, 1500 posts.

I'll bet anyone a beer that Tom Brady will steal Jessica from Romo after he wins another super bowl mvp. Jessica wants to be with a man - not some guy who gets rattled at the sheer presence of her. That can't be satisfying to a woman. Why does Tom Brady do it? Because he can. Mark it down.

January 25, 2008  09:25 AM ET

Hey Ferrell, the picture looks like Romo is saying exactly what you wrote.

January 25, 2008  09:25 AM ET

I bet you another beer that Romo wants to happen as well.

January 25, 2008  09:29 AM ET

This cracks me up that fannation and a lot of us love to be involved in Tony's love life!!! Poor guy, the media just can't leave him alone!! Morning Ferrell and to everyone else!!!

January 25, 2008  09:32 AM ET

It's because of non-football antics like this by Tony "the clown" Romo, why they lost to my Giants and now he's is even looking dumber by being sacked by some hollywood trick like Jessica.

January 25, 2008  09:33 AM ET

Well, blame the boy for getting involved with that blonde bimbo anyway. As if he didn't know she came with baggage. I love my Cowboys, but Romo needs to step back out of the limelight and concentrate on getting the ring that everyone says he's the one to do it for us. He could really learn from Tom Brady in this case.

January 25, 2008  09:34 AM ET

Whatever makmall. This was not even close to the reason why they lost to the Giants. It wasn't Romo, it was his team that let him down. Watch the game again.

January 25, 2008  09:44 AM ET

T.O. needs to sneak a copy of "How to be a Player" into his play book before the team meetings.

Uh, I watched not only the game last week, but I also watched their previous two games against the Cowgirls. I saw the samw clown each and everytime. Like I said from day one. Jerry made a big a** mistake signing Romo like he was going to be Dallas's saviour. Romo is a big joke.

Until he wins a playoff game, he has shown me nothing.
