11:57 AM ET 12.09 | We knew it was coming but it's not official: Ben Roethlisberger is back. The Pittsburgh Steelers QB is active for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers, marking his first game back since injuring his shoulder and ribs in a Week 10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. The Steelers have to be feeling better that Roethlisberger is back there and not Byron Leftwich or Charlie Batch, who replaced Roethlisberger in his absence.

For your sake, I hope so too.

His ability to extend plays makes him great and vulnerable to getting hurt again. Bet his O-line and backs got serious face time with Tomlin this week.

I would hope so

Agreed.

He should have waited.

Nah, it was good that he came back now and was able to shake the rust off. Besides, with the Bengals and dirty birds both dropping their games, it was basically a mulligan week in the AFC North.

I figure the Colts are gonna get in, though I'm not expecting much from a rookie QB in the post-season. (Which is strange, since I saw what can happen when Big Ben took over for Maddox.) The Bengals, well that will come down to our matchup, assuming the Cowboys don't catch us napping, too. The Jets look like they have an easy schedule, but I'm figuring they'll return to form next week and we have the tie-breaker.
