While I agree the family is a class act for wishing Brent well I do take offense to calling Brent a fool. Brent and Brown were best friends and both climbed into the car while intoxicated knowing what could happen. It's a tragedy for both young men and their families.

Even sadder that Brent already had a DUI record.

It sucks when a preventable tragedy destroys two lives. While these two may have gotten national attention because of their status as NFL players, it's a story that's repeated far too often all across the country.
There are almost 1.5 million drunk driving arrests every year. More than 50,000 people are killed annually because of alcohol-related car crashes.
I feel for both families, and I hope that they can find peace quickly, and while they can never fully 'recover' from something like this, I hope in time, while not forgetting their loved one, they can at least move on.
But I also hope that this serves as a wake-up call for the many NFL fans all over America. If just one person decides to call a taxi instead of driving drunk, if just one life is saved because of this, I hope both families can take strength from that.
