Carolina's streak comes to an end

01:35 PM ET 12.09 | At home against the Atlanta Falcons, the Carolina Panthers did something to start the game they haven't been able to in 2012 -- win a coin toss. The odds, in their thousands, kept Carolina winless on 12 opening coin tosses and one in overtime. The inability to call heads or tails correctly is a perfect example of their struggling 2012 season, which saw a team with a lot of promise on paper fall short of expectations. The Panthers are heavy underdogs against the Falcons.
