RGIII diagnosed with sprained knee in win

04:59 PM ET 12.09 | The Battle of the Beltway was one of the better games on Sunday, but for Redskins fans the win and specifically the last minute of the game was bitter sweet. Robert Griffin III is continuing to make a serious case for Rookie of the Year but Redskins fans everywhere held their collective breaths when RGIII went down and out late in the game. While trying to rally the Redskins back into the game, Griffin III went down and had to leave the game with what is now being called a sprained knee. RGIII did not return to the game and instead backup Kirk Cousins came in and led Washington back to not only tie the game but eventually to the win. There was a false report floating around from a fake Adam Schefter Twitter account that said Griffin III had torn his ACL, but that bogus report was quickly followed by the truth.

No surprise here. QBs that can run shouldn't run so much. I don't even how he got hurt. But he runs too much that he's going to hurt himself probably sooner than later.
Heal up RG3 and get back in there. The nfl is more fun with you playing.

He'd have to bulk up a little bit. Probably would cost him some quickness. He's a quarterback and a damn good one...the Redskins are going to have to protect him better and seriously teach him how to get down, slide and get out of bounds. It would be great to watch him for a long while..don't know if we'll get to.

A division championship would help RGIII's chances. Especially if the Skins win out to clinch it. Crunch time performance at the end of the regular season could be a big factor.
