07:52 AM ET 12.10 | Technically, former Pro Bowl nose tackle Jay Ratliff hasn't been active much this season with the Cowboys. He missed his seventh game of the year when the Cowboys kicked off Sunday at Cincinnati. But he was "active" in a sense last Sunday after Dallas beat the Eagles, Ratliff engaging in what sources call a "volcanic" and jaw-to-jaw exchange with none other than Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. "They're both passionate men and great men and they want to win, that's all it is," one source said. "But they were in each other's faces. People had to intervene." ... Jones started the conversation by saying, "We need you." Ratliff's response was a heated one. Jones, 70, did not back down even as the 6-4, 303-pound player rose to physically challenge him.

Jerry's got his juice box. He's okay now.

Will that be "soon-to-be-former Cowboy Jay Ratliff?"

December 10, 2012  08:06 AM ET

Wow, this was our best chance to see Jerrah get his hide whipped!

Not the job of the owner, or GM.

Given the events of the past weekend, I'm guessing this incident is pretty much forgotten in Dallas.

Given that this happened OVER A WEEK AGO it isn't a blip on the radar right now.

Would have been the dumbest thing ever if Ratliff had done that.

After being released, jailed, fined by the league and black balled, he would be lucky to have a job, no matter how good he is.

Good for Jerry getting in his grill. Its nice to see some fire happening behind the scenes. If I were Jerry, I would want him on the field too...

Correct...

After this past weekend between the accident and the game, this is silly.

Yes. A cap casualty. He will get the remainder of his $17 million guaranteed money, it will be spread over the rest of the extended contract and JJ will try to buy a RT in FA as Free goes out the door too.
