07:53 AM ET 12.10 | Known for his work in the 140-character space, Chris Kluwe made a statement on his uniform Sunday. [The Vikings] wore patches on their jerseys Sunday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pro Football Hall of Fame. At least the Vikings, and other teams around the league, were supposed to wear them. [Kluwe], upon learning the patch would be on his jersey Sunday morning, made an executive decision to alter the message. Kluwe, who has never shied away from controversy, got some athletic tape, covered the patch on his uniform and made a statement. "Vote for Ray Guy," was the message on the front of Kluwe's jersey. ... [Kluwe acknowledged] he will be fined by the NFL for a uniform violation but that doesn't bother him.

And they still beat the Bears. :-)

Punters should be like children- seen and not heard. Kluwe loves to hear himself talk.

Ray Guy deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

Vote for Ray Guy!

Damn right he does and I like Chris Kluwe.

Even if he plays for the Queens.

Second that motion

I agree with the comments above. Ray Guy should be in the HOF. But punters are just that punters, no one really cares what they think.

On a side note, heard Kluwe interview on the radio yesterday and he is an odd duck.

That would also explain his matching Gay Guy Patch

I voted for Gay Guy in November! It was him or a crook with a D after his name.

December 10, 2012  10:33 AM ET

He's a punter, can he even afford a fine for a uniform violation?

That must have been confusing at the polls, since usually the crooks have R after their names. And mug shots over their names.

I like Kluwe. I wish he would back off on the four-letter pepper in his writing, as it makes half the population just ignore his message, but I like his messages and causes. For example, Ray Guy not being in the Hall is shameful. He's right. Now a few younger people will know who Ray Guy is, what he did, and that it's a travesty that he isn't in. Not a terrible thing, that.

I agree with this in every instance but Kluwe.

Why? Because you don't agree with his opinion?

Well, that was supposed to be a light-hearted return of serve, a liberal kidding with a conservative he likes and respects, but thanks for turning it into typical comment section nastiness and hatred. You do realize this is T&R, not Fox News, right?

Geesh, he just wore a patch on his jersey, not like he killed someone or dogs or anything.
