Eagles receivers love Nick Foles

07:54 AM ET 12.10 | Perhaps a broken season in Philadelphia will work out just fine for rookie Nick Foles. If [Foles] turns out to be as good as Sunday's last-second victory made him out to be, there won't anyone as joyous than the Eagles wide receivers. Well, there may be several million back in Philadelphia as thrilled by the prospect of a budding Foles under center for the near future. But a receiver's best friend is always a quarterback who puts the ball in a spot where he can catch it. And Foles made a number of throws that made Jeremy Maclin, Jason Avant and company look very good in the Eagles' 23-21 thrilling win over the Buccaneers. "You guys are seeing Nick Foles grow into a phenomenal quarterback right in front of your eyes," said Maclin.

Awkward..........

"Phenomenal" is probably an exaggeration. So far, he's somewhere between "adequate" and "good."

They actually won a game. Heat of the moment.

Good enough that Honest Andy will offer you a great deal on a slightly-used Vick. Almost mint condition. Only abused on Sundays.

pause

Wow, talk about a snap judgment.

Nevertheless, maybe they're just trying to give him a confidence boost. I'm sure he needs it.

His numbers were good at UA. Good arm.

After prison, it probably has alot of backseat room.

Now here comes the chorus of Nick Foles backers, yeah the same backers you heard loud and clear as it pertains to such greats as Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb, Matt Cassell. Yeah you know the ones who claimed these were the next few great QBs in the NFL. If I'm Foles I'm leary of such moronic proclaimations from the likes of those on this site.

Then, well then, you have the Eagle faithful subjected to Andy's overjoyous display yesterday as though he made the right decision and its all about change......tell you what Philly faithful, keep Andy another year, nah make that two, and see how that works out fa ya. I'm sure you'll have your long awaited superbowl win. Hey, the rings are coming!

Hardly.

December 10, 2012  10:50 AM ET

I would too since he can actually pass the ball to them, unlike Vick.

The jury is out on the guy.

He looks to have talent but a new coach and system could either be great or bad for him depending on who comes in.

Seeing the Eagles struggle really makes my heart bleed.....

I'm sure he was abused in prison............

December 10, 2012  11:02 AM ET

He looks good. If he is for real, and no reason to think he is not, then this is really a good year for Eagles fans in the longer term.

QUOTE(#11):

Hardly.

The media hasn't over-inflated his abilities and value yet.

December 10, 2012  12:14 PM ET

Who knows he may be good enough to win. Unlike the cowgirls who are stuck with Romo and Jerry Jones. Going on 16 years and they still stink. Can't feel sorry for the cowgirls.

QUOTE(#18):

That's a bold statement considering that the Cowboys have 5 championship trophies in their trophy case while the Eagles don't even have a trophy case yet.

Don't the championships in 1948, 1949, and 1960 count?
I know they are not Superbowl wins, but they do exist, right?
