04:34 PM ET 12.10 | One of the best players in South Carolina football history has seen his college career cut short by a second-straight knee injury, but the next time he plays football, it will hopefully be for money. Marcus Lattimore is entering the NFL Draft instead of attempting to come back in the SEC. He won't be playing next year anyway, so he might as well try to learn a NFL system in the meantime, right?

I hope things work out as well for this kid as they did for McGahee.

Good point didn't, McGahee get drafted at number 23 pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, after he suffered a serious knee injury at the University of Miami???

All the best to this young man. He gave his all to CFB, and it's time for him to move on. I hope he has a long, productive career in the League.

RBs have a short shelf line in the NFL.

Yep. Sat out 2003 rehabbing, then had some pretty nice years in Buffalo.

He'll probably go in the late second round or early third round considering his knee injuries.
