05:32 PM ET 12.10 | Raymond Felton's road back to being a good starting point guard in the NBA took many twists and turns after he was dealt from the New York Knicks to the Denver Nuggets in the Carmelo Anthony trade in 2011. Felton played well in Denver, but coach George Karl had already decided to give the starting role to Ty Lawson. Felton was not pleased and asked to be traded. After a lost year in Portland, Felton is back playing well for the Knicks, and Karl now regrets how the situation with the Nuggets developed. "I wish I had known how to handle the Ty-Raymond [situation] because there's a part of me that thought that was a great way to go," Karl said. "But Raymond, when we gave Ty the starting job, it was pretty clear Raymond wanted to be a starter somewhere in the league and he's good enough to be."

Denver trading Melo has left them in about the same position. Actually, they are probably worse off as they don't have a go to guy, let alone a franchise player. While in turn, the Knicks have Melo and are riding high. NYC definitely were the winners in that trade.

Sometimes players have to take two steps back to go one forward, both Melo and Felton have taken those steps!

Karl please man, I for one am tired of hearing how great of a coach and decision maker you are. Look, you never won anything and you vocalized how happy you were to trade Melo. How's that working out for ya? Secondly, you now wanna tell us what we already know..that is Felton is a starting point guard in this league. Thanks for letting us in on this very well kept secret, putz!

Breaking News: Theres a "Love Update" for the all the "Lovenatics". Love had a lovely 38pt, 7ast, 3rb night last night, only to be upstaged by the fact that he couldn't get off a shot in the last possession because of tough defense so he kindly dribbled the time of the clock. Then the Rockets folded like a bad bagga chips in OT to the tune of 6pts and a loss. Although they loss, Love's performance should certainly rekindled all the Allstar and HOF talk by the "Lovenatics".

Moving On: It certainly seems to me that the people of Denver and their coach "Karl" certainly can't present day Knicks and ex-Nuggets Melo & Felton outta their mouths. Seems like crying over spilled milk to me, afterall you folks did exclaimed how you "got the better of the deal", didn't you?...Shutty, Apple and I'm out!
