08:04 AM ET 12.11 | Among a list of dispiriting entries on Arizona's ledger this season: Sunday's 58-0 loss. [Fans in social media] demanded immediate changes and railed against coach Ken Whisenhunt, expressing doubt in his ability to turn the team around. But while fans may want fast action, team President Michael Bidwill vowed not to make a "rush decision." ... Whisenhunt faced all the tough questions on Monday at the team's Tempe training facility. ... And then, finally, so did Bidwill, who had been noticeably quiet during the team's demoralizing run of defeats. The takeaway was simple: Whisenhunt will remain as the head coach for the rest of the season. Bidwill said he would not make a decision on Whisenhunt's future with the club beyond that until after the season.

Somebody has to drive the bus while everyone else is getting thrown under it.

Other than the Cards organization and the talking heads at ESPN, everybody knew the Kolb deal was a monumental mistake. If that was Whisenhunt's decision, he's gone. If it wasn't his decision, he's probably taking the fall anyway.

In the cardinals entire history they have one SB loss and a few playoffs. Seems to me that Bidwell just isn't interested. It's just about the money. Bidwell is a cheap *** running a cheap organization. How else do you explain moving the team to the middle of that wasteland. Cheap real estate and cheap contractors.

I've been a Cardinal fan my entire life. There is not even a single doubt that the problem in this organization is with the Bidwills and their complete ineptness when it comes to football knowledge and running an organization.
The list of idiotic decisions this franchise has made is a long one.

I liked what Whisenhunt said when ask if he thought the Seahawks were pouring it on at the end of the game last Sunday, Whisenhunt said: "It's our job to stop it, you have to give them credit. They're doing their thing. I have no comment on that other than to say, it's our job to stop them and we didn't get that done"!!!!

At the end of the Giants-Saints game Sunday, it sure looked to me like the Saints weren't even trying. When a team gives up, that's an insult to the game and to their fans. If you're not going to try, tell the coach you're sitting down and let him put in somebody who wants to play.
The Wiz is right.

I agree, Carroll put Matt Flynn in the game in the third quarter and the Hawks had their second stringers in and still Zona couldn't stop them. IMO if you are beating a team that bad on the road, then maybe you might want to let up a litte, but this was a home game for the Hawks and fans pay big money to see them score!!!

That's worth repeating... only because it's among the rarest quotes in the NFL these days.

I noticed Zona's CB, Patrick Peterson laughing on the sidelines when the Hawks were up 51-0 and wondered, why in the hell was he laughing after fumbling two punt returns. If I were Whisenhunt, I would be pissed!!!!

I remember a interview years ago with a player who left the Cardinals to join the Cowboys. He talked about the culture difference between the two. After leaving college and surf and turf dinners paid for by agents he got to the Cardinals camp only to find cold cut buffets and kool-aid at training camp and team functions. Only after he came to Dallas did he realized the magnitude of professional football and the difference in the organizations.

That was probably in the days when the Cardinals only provided one pair of socks a year to their players. The rest had to come out of their own pocket.

That's what got Derek Anderson a lot of criticism a couple of years ago. Perhaps it is something that can be traced back to the culture that Whiz has created?

STEVEDALLAS Those were the dumbest post ive ever read. A team that has only been to the playoffs once or twice in the last 15 years is not something to be proud of. If anything its a joke, all the money jerry jones has forked out for 1 playoff birth. Yur right there r differences the cardinals werent in and out of jail all through the 90's, and i havnt heard anything abt cards fans sighning a petition to g3t read of there owner lol. And at least the cardinals can say they hv over achieved in the past 10 years wth the players.they got. Wht can the cowboys say other than being picked every year to win the superbowl yet not even makeing the playoffs. Sounds like under achiving to me. Or maybe jones just wasted more money paying off these analyst to pick them. sounds like jones needs to spend more time focusing on Providing enough seats in his stadium.

Agreed. With their offensive line, it would be difficult to have success no matter who the QB was.
The Kolb trade was a monumental mistake, and he is not the long term answer, but Skelton and Lindley have been so inept, they make Kolb look very, very good by comparison.
