08:10 AM ET 12.11 | Among the most pressing questions facing the Lakers these days is whether Steve Nash can play the hero for Mike D'Antoni's team when he returns. Nash was a master at running D'Antoni's offensive system when the two were together in Phoenix. Once Nash returns, the Lakers are hoping to get better play from big men Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol. ... D'Antoni speculated Sunday that Nash might return at some point on the upcoming road trip but Nash told USA TODAY Sports that won't happen. "I think it will be at least another two weeks," Nash said. "I can move. I can shoot. I just can't run full speed. And I'm not even in shape. I'll probably need at least a week of practice once I start running."

Dumbtoni blamed Melo for his undoings in New York, now he's hoping and praying that Nash save his **** in Lakersland. Hey pundits who applauded his hire, "I don't hear ya now tellin us how great a hire his bum **** was". The Lakers are finished under the leadership of this leaderless bum.

Well, I don't hear you now........Mike B, Mike D, sounds like a flip flop to me!

QUOTE(#8):

That makes no sense. Why would they trade Nash? Things are messed up without him being there so you can't say he is the problem. If anything he can help the offense work better. If they are going to trade anyone is should be Pau for some athletic wings that can play defense. Either that or build the bench around Pau as a 6th man.

MMA, why would anybody trade "athletic wings that can play defense" for Gasol??? Chances are if they are athletic, they are young. Which probably means that they are cheap. Which probably means the team that has them doesn't want to trade them for an aging, declining and expensive PF who looks like crap. Not to mention they would have to have an expensive, expiring contracr of their own to make the math work. The only deal that might make sense is Gasol for Iguadola + another young piece. But then who plays PF for the Lakers? It's hard to find a deal that will work for both teams.

QUOTE(#2):

I can' remember the last time players return has meant as much as Nash's does. If he comes back and rights the ship he will be very loved in Lakerland. Jack Nicholson may even try to adopt him.

Lord, hear our prayers...

There is a possibility Nash is the one traded at the deadline if this thing continues to fail

Highly doubtful
