08:17 AM ET 12.11 | In the spin of the merry-go-round that is conference realignment, the University of Cincinnati found itself caught up in the buzz. [The blizzard] of schools jumping from one conference to another spurred a flurry of email among University of Cincinnati officials last month. UC leaders believed the school could get into the Atlantic Coast Conference with the Big 12 as a secondary option, the emails show. ... The email and other documents, obtained by The Enquirer through an Ohio Public Records Act request, also show that UC tried to enlist Ohio State University football coach Urban Meyer, whose sister works at UC. Urban used to coach at Notre Dame, which has joined the ACC for sports other than football.

Cincy would need to be a member of the AAU to join the Big10. They won't take anyone who isn't.

Sure they would.
They would take Notre Dame in a heartbeat.

And Nebraska has lost their membership since joining the B1G.

TOSU poobahs would block an in-state rival from joining the B1G.

That sounds like the Florida-Florida State relationship.

We can not allow the academic cheating riff-raff from the ACC to join the SEC.

I doubt that adding Cincy would add TV sets to the B1G. Another conference yes.

QUOTE(#2):

If Cincy's academics were better they would be in the Big 10. Cincinnati lets every moron knuckle dragger in the world attend the university. When a school like Cincinnati accepts every peon who applies their acceptance and overall academic reputation suffers horribly. Nice school nice town no acceptance standards. results No great conference.

So your upset with them because they didn't accept you.

They are considered one of the top schools in medicine, so maybe you should do a little more research befor u talk.
