Wildcats aren't buying what Calipari's selling

08:19 AM ET 12.11 | Apparently, John Calipari's power of persuasion hasn't yet sunk in within his current basketball team. Again and again, Calipari has pushed for greater effort, passion and competitiveness. "It's more we're hearing what he's saying, but I don't think it's been full bought into yet," senior Julius Mays said after UK beat Portland Saturday. That's where Camp Cal comes in. ... In the next three weeks, Kentucky only plays a game each Saturday, thus creating plenty of time for buy-in. Saying that his team presently was ranked no better than 50 to 100, Calipari made any alternative sound like, ugh, public transportation: the NIT. "If we're in the NIT, it's a good run to New York," he said (presumably) facetiously.

The Gators are buying into Billy Ball. Gators have 8 legitimate scorers and great defense.

Actually UF plays at Red Stick only this year.

Gators are by far the best team in the SEC this yr and a very real shot at FF. Got my eyes on em, and unless they sustain injury they will be occupying my bracket in March.

Just do not make the mistake of counting out my Wildcats, they will be the only team left standing when the dust settles next March.

I wouldn't buy what Calipari is selling, either. Snake oil salesman. <trolls for Colonel retort>

Just remember the last time you/tOSU came out to play with me/UK, and what the result was.

Only injuries I am worried about is Boynton and Yeguette. The team has played well without Wilbekin and Prather. Also Young had his lesson on this team will play well without you.

Hahahaha, they will be extremely lucky to make the NIT field, and then would never make past the second round.

Hate to agree with the Wildrat supporter but I have no choice.

They just have too damn much talent not to be a threat.

Look at Calipari's NCAA runs at UK and Memphis, he has always had an elite PG. Goodwin is a two that is forced to play PG.

I would not want to play them late in the year, but their NCAA run will be cut short as I see it.

Meh. UF beat them by 30.
