11:13 AM ET 12.11 | According to statements made by UFC President Dana White, UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva has no intentions of retiring soon. In fact, UFC recently offered Silva an eight-fight contract, but the Brazilian turned it down. "We tried to do an 8-fight deal with him and he said (expletive) that, I want a 10-fight deal. So we'll see what happens," White said. Negotiations are ongoing and there is still no word on who or when Silva will fight next.

10? He fights maybe twice a year as it is and he is 37....but then again, it's a no lose situation for Silva....there isn't going to be another promotion he'd want to fight for so it's not like he is giving up on a non-existant free agent market. And contract or not, he can choose to stop fighting whenever he feels like it.
