11:46 AM ET 12.11 | The New England Patriots were impressive in their 42-14 victory Monday night over the Houston Texans, but it may have come at a cost, as starting cornerback Aqib Talib left the contest with a hip injury and never returned. Acquired in a trade Nov. 1, Talib was injured in the second quarter, and despite being seen on the sidelines looking active, never returned in the second half. The Patriots (10-3), though, may have been resting the defensive back as they had the game in hand. Bill Belichick could give an update this week.

He looked like he could have gone back when he was shown standing on the sidelines.

He had made that great dive to break up an almost Johnson catch.

When he landed it looked awkward and I quickly jumped back 10 seconds to confirm.

Sho nuff....

But I'm hoping it's not major.

"Bill Belichick could give an update this week."

He will be listed as "questionable." If that give anyone any clue, let us know. If you ask Belichick directly, he'll say "We've got a tough game ahead of us on Sunday, and we'll take it day to day." Ask him what he had for breakfast and you'll get the same answer.

Actually it would be kind of nice to have an HC that doesn't babble all the time.

Both Talib and Dennard did a nice job of covering Johnson one on one.

That's what he does when he gets a question he doesn't want to answer. And he usually doesn't want to answer questions.

The NFL requires him to provide injury reports and hold press conferences. It doesn't say he has to provide information that might benefit other teams.

There was no need to put Talib back in the game...it was all but over. He'll be there against SF.

Hahaha....That's a good. Bill Belichick giving an update? Never happen.
