03:02 PM ET 12.11 | The New York Jets plan to sign wide receiver Braylon Edwards if he clears waivers on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by Brian Costello of the New York Post. Edwards was waived by the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 4. The decision to acquire the 29-year-old receiver would come a week removed from his public criticisms of the franchise. Edwards took to Twitter and defended Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez by stating that his struggles this season are due to the "idiots calling the shots." Edwards later apologized for his outburst.

I never understood this guy, all the talent one could ask for. Size and speed galore, just no concentration and lacked the effort needed to really be legit in this league. Had a decent run but you always had the feeling he wouldn't stick around too long.
