03:33 PM ET 12.11 | Outspoken TNT broadcaster Charles Barkley made a bold statement last Thursday when he said that Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade's game has diminished this season. Wade's most famous teammate didn't take too kindly to that statement. "It means that Charles Barkley needs to shut up," LeBron James said after the Heat's 101-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks. "[Wade] has been shooting 80 percent from the floor the past couple of games, come on man, it is crazy. That is why he is who he is. He is unbelievable." Wade hit 11 of his 13 field goals against the Hawks and nine of 12 from the field last Saturday against the New Orleans Hornets.

I can't stand Barkley, the guy just sits around being a fat, lazy, uneducated bum and talk trash about whoever for whatever reason and often without merit. What has he ever won? The guy was on loaded teams, several of them and won nothing worth mentioning. No one should care about what he has to say. Wade is something he will never be, A two time NBA Champion who earned all the respect he has in this league

I am no fan of the Heat but I am am a huge fan of your characterization of Charles Barkley. He is a rotund loud mouthed know nothing whose act has grown stale. He runs his fat lips constantly criticizing those who have careers that his never was. He's a dummy. A fat clown who is consistently wrong, but is seldom if ever man enough to admit it. I hope he gets fired.

Barkley was a 6'4 power forward who at times was leading the league in rebounds. In his prime he was second only to MJ. His most stake team that he played on in his prime was two yrs with the SUn and I am not sure what you call stack. KJ was nice as a pg but majerle was overrated. Considering what Wade use to be, his game has slipped and Barkley is only stating with many have already begun to notice. Its funny, one yr Barkely disapproved of there hiring of a coach at Auburn. WHo inherited a great team which of course everyone told Chuck to shut up.. Look at that coach now.

Is Barkley wrong?

Statistically speaking, Barkley is not wrong. All of Wade's stats are down compared to last season except for FG%, even though Wade's playing time has increased.

Barkley said for the season, not the last few games. Last time I checked, "the last few games" do not constitute a season.

December 11, 2012  05:28 PM ET

The "season" is not even 20 games old. This season has only been a few games. The inconsistency from Wade is not going to last (my opinion). The problem is everyone making blanket statements about a player that is clearly not 100%, which is pointless. So everyone (and I mean everyone) needs to shut up and watch what happens by the end of the year.

Second only to MJ? So at what point was he more valuable than the Dream or David Robinson or even a young Shaq? Dude he was top ten in his prime no doubt but you are giving him more credit than he ever deserved. What did he ever win? He led the league in rebounding you say, I am not even going to look it up because that means absolutely nothing when you are a chronic loser. The reason why Lebron can say what he says to him is because Lebron and D-Wade should both go down if they retired this very minute as better players than he ever was.

The suns were not the most stacked team he was on my friend, know your basketball history before you speak on my post. The sixers team he joined had Dr. J, Moses Malone (BOTH HOF) and Maurice Cheeks at the point. The year before he came they made it to the finals. They did no such thing with him there all the years he spent in Philly. Oh yea and how about the failed stint with the Rockets who had the Dream and Clyde the glyde? Leading to another point, he never got it done when it counted, ever. I wonder if he even won a high school title lol.

He's nit picking.

Im surprised TNT didnt fire Barkley last year!

Lebron's just a disrespectful self-righteous prick who needs to get slapped....Chucks a hall of famer who GETS PAID to critique these guys...not to kiss there ****. How boring wouls Inside the NBA be if all they did was suck up to players all day? Lebron needs to respect those who came before him and paved the way for him and **** himself. Otherwise someday when he retires, the newer generation will learn from his example and disrespect him even worse.

You must really be angry at Barkley. Stockton and Malone never won. Gary Payton, Malone, Shaq and Kobe didn't win together. That's 4 HOF'ers as well. The dream doesn't win if Jordan stays in the league instead of retiring as well. Getting a chip is not that easy.

December 11, 2012  06:21 PM ET

Little sense? Look I'm not getting mad, I'm just saying that if you're in the media and paid to critique these guys why should you be disrespected for voicing your opinion as long as you do it politely? Once the media starts kissing up to hyper-sensitive players these analysis Inside the NBA type shows get boring to watch.....also I think that a new generation should always have a little respect for the guys who came before them because they are the reason the league (or society in general) is still around. You never heard Jordan tell Wilt Chamberlain to shut up when he critiqued his game did you? I just think politeness, tolerance and respect for previous generation, or anyone for that matter is important....maybe I'm too old school but that's all I'm saying.

Him breathing again or not matters no more than if you did. Mad would never be the word, he is like that old guy in the gym talking down on the younger guys who are actually striving for and trying to achieve greatness. Everything i said was a fact, i named who he played with and his lack of titles. How that's mad, I guess you can maybe attempt to explain. Or just do what you are doing now which is stating things that arent true. Gary Payton has a ring by the way smart guy, Guess who was the MVP that finals as well? You guessed it D-Wade. Once again something Sir Charles never could attain. Another guy who doesnt know his facts lol, nice try little guy

See I feel you on this post, I see where you are coming from completely. My point isn't about taking the advice from anyone especially one of the greats. My point is why shouldn't Lebron o Wade be allowed to have a retort? Especially to someone who was never a champion. What credentials does he have over D-Wade to talk down on him like that? If Wilt was talking to a younger Mike with no titles I am sure he commands that respect because he has been there and done that. Charles Barkley in my honest opinion just has not and should expect backlash when he trash talks players. You don't hear Patrick Ewing giving advice to Dwight about how to win a title, because he simply doesnt have the knowledge or experience in doing so.

You obviously can't read smart guy. Payton, Malone, Shaq and Kobe couldn't even get a ring together. Reading is fundamental. That means they were a SUPER TEAM and didn't get one. It doesn't always work that way. I guess nobody should listen to Karl Malone either then???? Oh well, I'm sure you won a title in High School so you're probably the expert. My bad.
