04:33 PM ET 12.11 | The NFLPA announced its support for Paul Tagliabue's decision to vacate the punishments for the four players suspended in the New Orleans Saints bounty case. A statement released by the players' organization on Tuesday afternoon regarding the outcome of the appeal. The NFLPA statement read: "We believe that when a fair due process takes place, a fair outcome is the result. We are pleased that Paul Tagliabue, as the appointed hearings officer, agreed with the NFL Players Association that previously issued discipline was inappropriate in the matter of the alleged New Orleans Saints bounty program. Vacating all discipline affirms the players' unwavering position that all allegations the League made about their alleged "intent-to-injure" were utterly and completely false. We are happy for our members."

Whew, that was a close one for the players. They almost had to held accountable for their behavior. Thank goodness they had the coaches to pin the blame on.

I love how the people involved, and the NFLPA apparently, like to spin this like they were not guilty and were doing nothing wrong. I'm sorry, but when you offer money to knock another player out of the game, you don't deserve to play that game. That's classless and there is no place in professional sports for it.

Im really surprised at you.....Harrison got fined at least 6 times for great hits that Goodell and the league stole from him.....I only saw one hit that was borderline!

Thats what Williams said.....the NFL shows all of James Harrison hits and was fined but nobody shows Vilma bounty Hunting....are you for real? You know and I know if the Commish had anything he would have shown or told every one to look at one or several particular games then decide
