08:20 AM ET 12.12 | One of the few silver linings of the lockout: NHL teams have been afforded the opportunity to take a closer look at their own prospects. Bruins coach Claude Julien has watched plenty of Providence Bruins games over the last few months, and he really likes what he's seen of the team while they've piled up a 5-0-1 record over their last six games. The energy is rising, the offense is surging and the points are piling up for the P-Bruins. ... "It's not just one player. It's the whole team," said Julien. "That third or fourth is contributing a lot. If it's not on the scoresheet then it's on the ice creating momentum. The good players have been good players for us. Chris Bourque has really picked up his game and he's been really good."

Just like everyone else, Julien is having to watch either minor league, junior, or international hockey to fill the void, I'm glad he's taking an interest in his prospects, one can hope that Chris can live up to the name he carries, but making it into a professional sport is an achievement in itself.

I too hope he plays for Boston for 20 years, doesn't win a Cup, then goes to another team to do so.
