02:52 PM ET 12.12 | The NFL will not make any immediate rule changes regarding the controversial challenge rule before the beginning of the postseason, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com and NFL Network. The rule was cast into the spotlight on Thanksgiving Day when a challenge flag thrown by Lions head coach Jim Schwartz on an automatically reviewed scoring play nullified the referees' ability to review a play that was ruled on the field as an 81-yard touchdown by Justin Forsett of the Houston Texans. Television replays showed that Forsett was down by contact before getting up to sprint for the score.

Jim Schwartz knew the rule, although it doesn't make any sense to me.

Let's say Jim Schwartz should have known the rule.

Wonderful, rules they should change they don't, too worried about eliminating kickoffs I guess...

He doesn't have to know the rules, he won't be a Head Coach in the NFL after this Season!

And they're talking about expanding the playoffs to 16 teams. That's literally half the field. Why bother having playoffs at all at that point?
