04:47 PM ET 12.12 | Wisconsin needs a new head coach, unless athletic director Barry Alvarez really is going to give the Bill Snyder thing a try next year. Toledo coach Matt Campbell looked to be a possibility, based on an early report, but that appears to have been a false alarm. Pulling a coach up from the MAC might not be all that in style going forward for Big Ten schools, especially not from Toledo, after Tim Beckman looked dangerously close to being a one-and-done at Illinois.

No clue LUS, but IMO I would think that Wisky would be looking for a higher profile coach rather than trollig the minor leagues (MAC).

Wisconsin is in jeopardy of backslippin' to when the band was the big draw at Camp Randall. Alvarez needs to find an HC who gets his vision and process, for it is the only way Wisconsin stays a relevant program with winning records.

A Toledo fan here just stoppin by trying to get a feel for whats going on. Interesting commentary. Way off base though mikeMack on Campbell personally. His image is actually quite good, better than Bielmas for sure. Hes not trolling for a job if any of this is accurate info about him being on any list for UW. Yes, it was Beckmanns team per se but Campbell has always been a great recruiter and many of the current players at Toledo are because of Campbell and his current staff. Not Beckmann. just trying to shed some light.
