10:07 AM ET 12.13 | Two MMA legends were paid quite well for their UFC on FOX 5 appearances Saturday night. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Shogun Rua made the most at $175,000, while former UFC champion B.J. Penn earned $150,000. Rua lost via unanimous decision to Alexander Gustafsson, and B.J. Penn lost via unanimous decision to Rory MacDonald.

Penn fought a much bigger opponent, and he didn't give up. Penn takes a lot of crap for his mediocre record at WW - but the fact is - in his entire career, he's had 10 fights with guys that were MUCH bigger than he was - and he's only ever been finished twice. I love internet tough guys who talk about how these guys didn't show up - when they take a beating that people like you could never take without tapping.
