02:25 PM ET 12.13 | While rumors have swirled all season long thatDallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett's job might be in jeopardy, the team's executive vice president Stephen Jones has no plans to fire his head coach, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News. Jones appeared on Intentional Grounding on Wednesday night on 1310 The Ticket, and told the shows host, David Moore, that the Cowboys head coaching job will remain Garrett's regardless of how the rest of the team's season plays out.

with holgrem, gruden, payton and others out there that are experienced somewhat proven HCs, you'd think maybe JJ would finally go after one of these guys and see if they can help this team. but then... it's JJ and we are stuck with this owner/gm and his decisions. whose to say any of these guys will be available this time next year if a change is made then?

Jerry Jones doesn't want to find the best coach possible. Jerry Jones wants to find the best coach possible - that is going to stand by while he runs the show. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why the Cowboys are doomed to mediocrity.
