04:29 PM ET 12.13 | Marquess Wilson, the former Washington State receiver who issued a statement hours before a Cougars game accusing coach Mike Leach of abuse, has backed up his claim. In texts sent to athletic director Bill Moos, Wilson says, "With that letter I wasn't trying to accuse the coaches of hitting players or anything. I was just trying to put it in different terms and now everything is getting misinterpreted and I didn't mean it like that at all." A Wazzu investigation of Leach also turned up no wrongdoing.

I don't know how you can openly accuse someone of physical, verbal and mental abuse but then say, oh, I was just writing something and it got blown out of proportion, I didn't intend for this. He very clearly accused Leach, if I recall...so it happened, or it didn't, but this whole thing really stinks.

I really like Leach, but IMO he is lost in Pullman Washington, he will be just another Mike Price.

This is what he did at Tech. He had his receivers run in the sand pit to strengthen their ankles and calves which translated to performance on the field. TTech's receivers ran route after route in that hurry-up offense and their conditioning showed.
