Muhammad learned to shape up quickly at UCLA

08:10 AM ET 12.14 | Shortly after arriving at UCLA, Shabazz Muhammad was introduced to an unusual feeling. For the first few games of his freshman season, Muhammad had been struggling to just get up and down the court. Bent over, panting for air, Muhammad often had to leave the game for a breather -- a level of fatigue he had never experienced before in his basketball career. But he was exhausted. And for the first time in his life, he knew he was out of shape. ... But since realizing how out of shape he really was, Muhammad seems to have found a regimen to get back on the right track -- something he says has already noticeably helped him. At around 235 pounds when he debuted against Georgetown, Muhammad is already down to a much slimmer 222.
