Discouraged Crosby: 'It just doesn't make any sense'

08:15 AM ET 12.14 | From overseas, Henrik Zetterberg said he believed the lockout negotiations to be at a "critical" stage, and, in Pittsburgh, frustration boiled over Thursday. The NHL and its players' association have not negotiated since talks in New York broke Dec. 6, and another round of separate two-day meetings with the Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service proved futile this week. Hockey also is seemingly losing its staunchest supporters. "They didn't even have a face-to-face meeting," Penguins franchise player Sidney Crosby said Thursday. "It is discouraging. For me, it just doesn't make any sense. Why can't they get in the room and keep talking? I don't know what that mindset is or how that's going to help things progress."

Uh oh. Sid's mad. You won't like him when he's mad...

What's he gonna do, shoot my dryer or washing machine to death?

I understand his frustration, not from his particular standpoint, but my own, if you want them to keep talking, both sides will have to concede ground until then, shut up.

They are arguing over our money. They are all so greedy. Don't be one of Bettman's sheep

Now that would be an excellent conversation, KDF talking to a bot - even if this is an actual person, do you really think they have an intelligent agenda?

A meeting of equal minds? one of life's many mysteries...

You should've known that would happen as soon as you hired the Fehrer to represent you. Dumb ****!

QUOTE(#13):

Put a vote on it already...bet you 60-70% of the players would vote YES on the NHL's new CBA...the only ones crying would be the super stars....and believe you me there's more grinders out there than super stars.

The superstars aren't losing their money, they have it. They would be getting more upfront. No way the PA would approve this, which is why they haven't even requested the vote. It would completely eliminate the middle class (a rich one, but one none the less)
But you are right, they should put it to a vote. Ask the 30 owners what they think of the last PA's proposal.

Good on Crosby.

I'd love to one day see Crosby actually square up with a guy and fight...jumping a guy on the draw is really cheap.

Bettman coming on HNIC and admitting the whole expansion thing was a mistake

It is much easier to get 30 guys to agree then it is to get 700 guys to agree. If a vote was taken the owners would be united the players on the other hand not so much.
