02:31 PM ET 12.14 | New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski returned to practice on Friday. It's his first time practicing since breaking his forearm on an extra point play back in Week 11. Gronk was given a 4-8 week timetable, so he's right in line with that early projection. The Patriots have already clinched a playoff spot this season, hoping to catch the Texans, who are the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Gronk has 53 catches for 748 yards and 10 TDs on the season.

I'd be surprised though if he's activated for the Niners game.

The Patriot's offense is explosive without him.

Rest him, let him heal for the playoffs...

I think that the Patriots have forgotten all about him playing as well as they are.
