Playing injured makes RG3 a better player?

06:24 PM ET 12.14 | Rookie superstar Robert Griffin III faces the first crossroads of his young career this week. His recovery from a leg injury is in question with a trip to face the Cleveland Browns quickly approaching this weekend. There are many justifications for holding him out of action this week: to avoid further injury; it's only the Browns; the belief that Kirk Cousins can get the job done; it's only the Browns, and of course the most obvious reason: it's only the Browns. Cleveland's win at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers notwithstanding, the Browns has been mediocre all year. While they head into this game riding a three-game win streak, two of those wins came against perennial NFL cellar-dwellers Oakland and Kansas City, while the other came against a Roethlisberger-less Steelers team that saw them win by only six points even though Pittsburgh turned the ball over a unfathomable eight times. Surely a hot Redskins team should be able to handle the Browns sans-RG3. Of all the reasons that are being used for why he shouldn't play, I see one of those reasons as proof for why he must play. He'll be less mobile.

They've lost a few close games, I don't think mediocre is a fair description. No doubt they need a QB to get to the next level.
