06:11 PM ET 12.15 | While fans in Chicago are still awaiting "The Return" of Derrick Rose, Timberwolves fans are getting theirs as an early Christmas present. Nine months after tearing his ACL and LCL, Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Ricky Rubio has been cleared to return to the lineup and is set to make his return Saturday against the Dallas Mavericks inside the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis. The Wolves have missed Rubio since his season ended against the Lakers last March, and Minnesota fans were merely teased with what could be. Now, with Love healthy and a solid rotation of player intact, Rubio's return isn't just something that's noteworthy. The Timberwolves' march to the playoffs begins tonight with Rubio's return, and the Target Center is about to start filling up consistently for the first time in a decade.

Looking forward to seeing plenty of Rubio Mondy in Orlando. Jameer isn't a break your ankles type player so it's shouldn't put too much strain on Rubio's knees.

Me too MMA. He played fantastic last night in limited minutes. He just makes everyone else around him better. Heck, even Derrick Williams played lights out last night, leading the team in +/-. S/b a good game in Orlando as they are playing better as well. It'll be interesting to see how Rubio responds with his first back to back in ORL and MIA on Tuesday. I think he will still be on limited minutes but man, im just glad he is back. Youre right jgb, pretty uncanny resemblance. Never thought of that til now. LOL.

Did the Wolves draft Rubio out of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy? LOL.

As a wolves fan i cant wait for that game. God i hope everyone is healthy, for both teams. Itll be a REAL litmus test for the wolves. They havent played a team like the Knicks yet.

Apparently Love is jealous of Rubio's "star" presence. I think his "illness" was a fake.
Love is a very good player but acting like a diva these days.

Exactly. Love need look no further than last night to understand why he didnt get max years. This is Rubio's team and anyone with a set of eyes can see the difference with him in the game vs when he is not. Love is IMO worth the money. But, in the new CBA, a team can have only one max deal. If anyone should be happy its Love. He gets to play with Rubio. Plus, he can rework his deal in JAN 2014 for more years and more money per year than anyother team allowed should he go the way of a FA in the summer of 2014. Stop complaining and play! If the Wolves can manage to keep winning, everything will take care of itself.

With that said above, i have no problem as a fan with Love's disdain of the Wolves owner and GM. Im all on board there. Kahn hasnt been offered an extension (fantastic news) and Taylor in in the process of selling the team (even better news).

I am not real happy with the way Love keeps yapping either. It's almost like he is laying the groundwork to leave eventually.

Seems like it MMA. But as long as he says im just being honest...he should come out and say it then. If he doesnt plan on being here for the long haul, say it! This dilly dally BS for the next three years cant be tolerated. Guys like these hold their fans hostages. You went through it with Howard and i saw it in the 90s with Marbury and his petty jealousies over Garnett and his contract and popularity.
